The service was good but the "beef and cheese" Chile rellenos were all bean on the inside. No white cheese anywhere. The yellow cheese on the outside seemed cheep. Just not real quality ingredients. Very disappointing. Prices are higher than giraffe.... well you know.
A very good restaurant in Pecos. I always try to come here when I visit. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is very good. Prices are a little high, but everything in this area is expensive.
I broke my own rule- never go to a restaurant that has less than a 4 star rating on Google. But it was close and I was hungry so I rolled the dice 🎲. Huge mistake. The food was over priced and under prepared. The service was garbage. I sat at the table for 14 minutes with an empty coffee cup. Which was plastic by the way! She only bothered to check on me when she delivered my order. And it wasn’t like they were in the weeds. There was one other table when I sat down. There were only 3 others when I got up and there were two servers. “Burritos” were unrolled tacos. Very disappointing. Never again!
There aren’t enough words to describe this restaurant! Absolutely PHENOMENAL. A little hidden gem in Pecos. Staff is friendly, the food is excellent and the cozy atmosphere just adds to it. You won’t find better food anywhere in west Texas! Even though we showed up right before closing, they stayed open with great attitudes and perfect service! Definitely coming back!
Amazing food, we came in town to visit family and ate here 2x. The food is all made with love, fresh tortillas, DELICIOUS chile verde, and great coffee. My only critique is my wife and I were curious how our tab was so inflated, after seeing other reviews I realized we were unknowingly charged 15% gratuity ON TOP OF tip. That aside, we will come here every time we visit Pecos from now on, and not leave a cash tip LOL.
Stopped in for dinner one night and glad I did! I got the Mexican Combination plate with a chili relleno, cheese enchilada, and chicken chalupa. The chili relleno was very good. If I come back again I would definitely get the chili relleno dish.
This is our first time eating at this restaurant in Pecos, TX. However, I'm upset about our receipt. There were 4 adults and 1 child dining at our table, and I don't know how or why..... the restaurant charged us a gratuity fee of 15%! My husband did not realize they did this, so he left a $20 tip ON TOP of the gratuity!! Overall, we paid $33.08 in charges and tips, which is almost half of the total balance. The service was great and the food was great but I don't plan on coming here again 😡
Great place to eat, and everyone was really nice. We had great service and everything was really clean. The food was just like I remembered it being so many years ago. My husband and I used to eat at the first location that was across town when you guys first opened up. Every time we come back and visit family, we all eat here. The sweet tea is on point, and it was nice and cool inside despite the 112° heat. The only thing that made me sad was the sticker shock that we got when we got our bill! There were 5 of us, and our bill was like $110.00⁉️ 2 of us ate a burrito only, and one of us was a 1 1/2 years old, so yes, we were stunned. Plus, it wasn't even dinner time? Mexican food is one of the cheapest things to make, so I just could not justify the price?! Where we live, we could have eaten at Olive Garden cheaper than here?
